Oculus Rift at the WSGF

The Oculus Rift has made a lot of positive waves recently in the gaming community. It was prominently featured at QuakeCon, and has been wholly endorsed by John Carmack, Gabe Newell and Cliff Bleszinski. As a gaming site focused on visuals and visual immersion, the WSGF is quite excited about the virtual doorways the Oculus Rift can open. We'd like to get one to review here at the site, and see if we can provide a few to our dedicated developers (HaYDeN, dopefish, etc.). We've started a short donation drive to help cover these costs, and gauge your interest.

Indie Explosion

The Steam Summer Sale featured a ton of indie bundles - eleven to be exact. We've got AussieTimmeh set up with all of them, and he is working his way through them posting Detailed Reports of the widescreen and Eyefinity/Surround support. So far we've got Unmechanical, Symphony, Lone Survivor, Cave Story+, BIT.TRIP RUNNER, VVVVVV, Trapped Dead, Eufloria, Machinarium, Jamestown, Capsized, LIMBO, Beat Hazard, All Zombies Must Die!, Plain Sight and Bunch of Heroes. Whew...

We've also got new Detailed Reports on Age of Empires Online, Krater, Smite, MDK2 HD, Guns of Icarus Online, Wizard101, Two Worlds II and Scania Truck Driving Simulator.
