Co-op Gaming in Eyefinity: Modern Warfare 3 Spec Ops

Welcome to the next of my video blogs where I look at co-op games and how satisfying the experience is in multi-monitor. I love co-op gaming, but not all co-op games play well in multi-monitor. My reviews cover what I needed to do to get the game working in Eyefinity, any issues that I found in the game that relate to it, and how fun I found the whole experience.

This episode reviews the game Modern Warefare 3 - Spec Ops.

In case it is helpful, I have provided a text copy of the transcript as well. Enjoy!

Howto: Left 4 Dead Split Screen with Eyefinity

Welcome to my first blog entry.

I'm aiming to put together a complete howto for a way to play games in split screen on pc. This play mode is usualy missing in PC games however its present im most of console games.. And I don't understand why? PC's are superior to consoles in terms of amount of controllers you can use (Xbox's PS3 or even Wii controllers can be used with PC) and posibility of using multiple displays is just shouting for SS on PC.

So! The first game I put on the table is: Left 4 Dead. Its propably the game which is forced to run in Split-Screen (SS) most often. I know that there are many guides already but I'd like to go a little bit further and put together a way to SS, how to config your controller and also how to run SS in multi monitor setup.

So here we go:

I. How to run the game in SS
II. Usefull console commands
III. Running multiplayer split-screen game. (2PCs, 4Players)
IV. Controller configuration
V. Multi monitor setup
VI. Results and summary

Custom USB Drive - Hot Wheels Ken Block Fiesta

Hey all, I recently purchased something that some of you may like, so thought I'd share it with you.

I'd recently discovered that I had used or 'donated' most of my USB drives to people for a variety of tasks, so I went looking for a new one. I found this guy on ebay who makes custom USB drives out of Hot Wheels cars as a hobby. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but as a motorsport fanatic, I couldn't help myself and bought a Ken Block Gymkhana Fiesta USB drive to check it out!

An Unexpected Journey

Over the Christmas holidays it dawned on me that it had been exactly one year since we began the site migration to Drupal. Most everyone is aware that earlier this summer we made the transition from a phpBB/MediaWiki platform to Drupal. However, few people know about the unexpected journey we undertook. In thinking back on the last year, I quickly drew a parallel to the opening scenes from The Hobbit.

Video Capture Software Evaluation - PlayClaw

Breaking my ultimate game capture software review/evaluation down into individual articles for each software as I test them and then will have one major recap at the end where I will pick my favorite and make recommendations. I am going to kick things off with the first article being for PlayClaw because I had to admit I was taken by surprise when I started testing this software and feel that it deserves an article for some attention by fellow let's play artist and video producers.

How to encode/convert movies & videos perfectly for the HP Touchpad (and other tablets)

I felt this may be information important enough to share in one of my blog posts. I just got a HP Touchpad last week with the recent "fire sale" and so did thousands of other people (they sold out almost instantly and nearly crashed ebay) one of my #1 goals for uses of my touchpad is a great portable media device. I want movies on here so that I can entertain the kids at a restaurant while waiting for the food ,or to kill time while waiting at an airport are just a few examples.

The thing is the HP touchpad has a pretty (very) limited support for the type of movie it will play. It takes some serious geek knowledge to get it right and so today I share some of that know how with you since I was unable to find any suitable tutorial online on how to convert your movies for proper playback on this device.
