This medal is awarded to games that have received a calculated grade of B for their widescreen support. All of these games are without major flaws, but either have at least one blemish that prevents a perfect score.

Homefront

Homefront is an FPS game set a near-future US. The story is written by John Milius, who co-wrote the classic movie, Apocalypse Now. He also wrote and directed the 80's classic movie, Red Dawn.

Digital Combat Simulator: A-10C Warthog

"DCS: A-10C Warthog" is a PC simulation of the U.S. premier Close Air Support attack aircraft. This is the second aircraft in the DCS series, following DCS: Black Shark, and raises the bar even higher in the DCS series. Warthog brings the most realistic PC simulation of a modern fixed wing combat aircraft in regards to flight dynamics, avionics, sensors, and weapon systems. You also have the option to play Warthog in "Game" mode for a casual game experience.

Monday Night Combat

Monday Night Combat is a third-person shooter. The game is download only, and is available on PC through Steam. It is a mix of third-person shooting and tower defense, set in a sci-fi sport future.

Escape the asylum and discover the truth in this sequel to the controversial first game.

Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath

The game details the adventures of Stranger, a fearsome bounty hunter. Throughout the game, Stranger pursues and captures outlaws in order to collect bounties. The goal is to ultimately earn enough moolah (in-game money) to pay for a mysterious life-saving operation. One of the most notable features is the "live ammunition" system, which is literally ammunition made of living creatures like fictional insects and small mammals, each with different uses and effects against enemies.

Cellfactor: Psychokinetic Wars

CellFactor: Psychokinetic Wars is a Sci Fi first-person shooter. The player can choose between three classes, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. The Guardian is specialized in guns and the Bishop is better at using telekinetic superpowers while the Black-op is balanced in both. Some of the powers are telekinesis, teleportation and generating energy shields.

Drakensang: The River of Time

The highly acclaimed PC-RPG The Dark Eye: Drakensang was awarded “best German game” and “best German RPG” amongst many others. Drakensang: The River of Time features all-new adventures in the medieval world of Aventuria, based on one of Europe’s favourite RPG systems: The Dark Eye.

The prequel’s story of Drakensang: The River of Time leads players to events that took place 23 years before the original Drakensang game’s events. As a young apprentice, players meet the young dwarf Forgrimm and many other recognisable characters.

Highly recommended to RPG lovers of Baldur's Gate series.

The Ball

A puzzle game in FPS perspective. Your weapon: an artefact that can attract and shoot a humongous ball. Your goal: to reach the exit of each map by activating contraptions. Faithful ol' Ball will help you break walls and push buttons, and maybe smash some baddies here and there. The game features a story-driven campaign and a survival mode.

Singularity

Singularity is a UE3-based corridor FPS that mixes futuristic firearms, time-altering technology and copious amounts of blood. After military research gone wrong caused the Apocalypse, you'll have to survive angry soldiers and hungry mutants and travel through time in a desperate attempt to clear the mess before it even happens. The game also features matchmaking multiplayer modes.

Ship Simulator Extremes

Ship Simulator Extremes is the name of the latest installment in the Ship Simulator series. Additions to the game include new locations (including Antarctica and Bora Bora) as well as new ships (including official licensed Greenpeace vessels) and new dynamic weather and water systems. Following a campaign by members of their growing fanbase, Vstep agreed to include the ports of Dover and Calais (in one environment).
