This medal is awarded to games that have received a calculated grade of B for their widescreen support. All of these games are without major flaws, but either have at least one blemish that prevents a perfect score.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine (also known as WH40k: Space Marine) is a third-person action video game developed by Relic Entertainment and published by THQ. The gameplay experience focuses on a hybrid shooting and melee combat model.

As a Space Marine, you are given enhanced regenerative abilities and an Iron Halo shield. When health gets low, performing sync kills can allow Titus to get a portion of his health back. You are accompanied by Sidonus and Leandros for most of the missions, though in some instances you will have to go on solo missions.

Crysis 2

Crysis 2 is a first-person shooter. The player assumes the role of a Force Recon Marine called Alcatraz. Similar to its predecessor, it provides freedom to customize weaponry and abilities. Crytek wanted to avoid making another game set in a true jungle environment (as were Far Cry and Crysis); New York City has been dubbed an "urban jungle". The urban atmosphere offers new options with relation to progressing and planning attacks. Players are able to navigate between floors and buildings, as well as a destroyed cityscape.

Sanctum

Sanctum is a 2011 video game that combines the game styles of tower defence and first person shooter. The game runs on the Unreal 3 engine. Coffee Stain Studios was one of the main contestants in the 'Make Something Unreal Contest' by Epic Games in 2009 with the title Sanctum, at that time unreleased.They were among the top runners in the categories of: "Best FPS-game mod", "Best game mod" and the educational category.

Red Faction Armageddon

Red Faction: Armageddon is a third-person shooter video game developed by Volition, Inc. and published by THQ. It is the fourth installment in the Red Faction series. The game features no competitive multiplayer modes, instead it will focus on a Horde-mode style of game called Infestation. However, the game will carry over many other elements from its predecessor, Red Faction: Guerrilla, such as the focus on fully destructible environments.

Laser Squad Nemesis

Laser Squad Nemesis is a multiplayer turn-based tactics video game.
Players issue orders to a squad of soldiers or aliens. Each turn, the player gives orders to their troops, previews probable effects of those orders, and submits them to the LSN server via the web interface, or through email. Orders are resolved simultaneously after both players have submitted their orders, and the consequences of the round are sent back to both players. The result of the previous turn is viewed in a real time ten-second video, with pause, slow motion and rewind (multiple turns) options.

Nevermore

Nevermore is a third-person slasher that can (well, must) be completed in less than five minutes. It's a freebie that was designed and produced by students of Dadiu, the Danish National Academy of Digital Interactive Entertainement.

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light

Played from an isometric-like perspective, this 3D action/adventure game combines platform, combat and puzzles through the jungles and not-quite-abandoned aztec temples of Yucatan. The game features local and online 2-player coop, but slight differences in gameplay and level design make it possible to play the whole game solo.

Red Eclipse

An open-source "first-person ego-shooter" (which means Quake-like, and not "self-inflicted shooting simulator" as one may think).

Need for Speed: Undercover

Need for Speed: Undercover is the 12th installment of the popular racing video game series Need for Speed. Undercover features a new open world map consisting of 109 miles (175 km) of road and a large highway system, making it the largest Need for Speed "world" EA had created to date.
