The player can use paranormal abilities in order to solve crimes, such as sensing where important objects are located and reassembling the timeline of events tied to a certain death. After Ascaron (developer of Sacred, Sacred 2) went banrkupt in 2009 Deep Silver gave the development of Sacred 3 to Keen Games which had previously mostly made Nintendo or console games.
Sacred 3 is a extremly linear hack and slash game, you cannot change equitment or spells during a game but only afterwards. It has nothing in common with Sacred 2 except the World/character names but it's still fun to play.
