The Lord of the Rings: War in the North is a role-playing video game developed by Snowblind Studios. It is based on the events taking place in the northern regions of Middle-earth in the background of the main story of J. R. R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings, more specifically in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings film trilogy universe. Players take control of a hero of the war, and are able to play through the game alone or co-operatively with other players.

Area 51 is a first person shooter, played from the perspective of the protagonist, Ethan Cole. The player begins with a team of three other HAZMAT soldiers, who cannot be killed by the game world, unless it is scripted into the story.

Call of Duty 2 is a WWII themed FPS from Infinity Ward and Activision. Like its predecessor, CoD2 is set over three allied campaigns. As a sequel, CoD2 features somewhat streamlined gameplay, more advanced AI, and better widescreen support.
