Native

A game whose widescreen method is "Native" is a game where enabling widescreen can be done entirely from the in-game options menus. A game can only be considered "Native" if there is no way to improve the widescreen support externally. For example, if a game supports widescreen resolutions natively, but is vert- this way, and it is possible to make it hor+ via editing the .ini file, it cannot be considered Native.

Overlord II

Big Evil returns for more third-person wielding and minion-commanding action. New features in Overlord 2 include an extra layer of next-gen eye candy, mounts (allowing your multi-colored horde to access otherwise out-of-reach places), a refined magic system and more - but the core of the game remains the same : lead your horde to bend everything and everyone to your will, then get back home and buy new furniture.

Need for Speed: Shift

Shift is a half-arcade, half-serious racing sim. Even with all assists on, the driving is more demanding than what's typical in a NFS game, but everything you do in races counts as experience points - from hitting an opponent car to reaching top speeds to staying on the race line - so both top racers and n00bz have many ways to earn cash and unlock stuff.

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising is a first person tactical military game for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 developed by British game developer Codemasters. Codemasters have advertised the game as a tactical shooter designed to realistically represent modern infantry combat. It has Single-Player, 4 Player co-op and Multi-Player modes.

Empire: Total War

Empire: Total War is the latest Total War game from The Creative Assemply, published by (of all places) Sega. Empire is a total warfare simulator which uses two modes, a turn-based "grand campaign" and a real-time battle mode to give the player complete control over a worldwide conflict in the 1800s.

Risen

Risen is a single-player fantasy-themed action role-playing game by the German company Piranha Bytes, and published by Deep Silver. Piranha Bytes itself developed the Windows version, which was released on October 2, 2009.

Risen takes place in Faranga, a fictitious volcanic, mediterranean island with different sub-climates and vegetation zones. The island is inhabited by humans, as well as many fantastic creatures.

Anno 1404

Anno 1404 is a real-time strategy game with an emphasis on economy and... cuteness. Time to explore the seas and let your colony prosper as the crusade is brewing and mysteries of the Orient await. The new Anno boasts improved graphics, a refined interface and features a "continuous play" (sandbox) mode besides the main campaign. There's also an online leaderboard and custom map sharing system - but there's no multiplayer of any kind.

Civilization IV

Civilization IV is a historical-simulation game where players develop factions throughout the known history of mankind. Players build cities which produce the structures and units of the game and are the source of income and technological growth. As time progresses factions will discover new technologies which allow them to improve their cities and build more things. Each faction is led by at least one historical figure famous in history. Diplomatic relations between different factions are represented by interactions between these historical avatars.

Darkest of Days

Darkest of Days is an FPS from 8Monkey Studios, published by Phantom EFX. The game is seperated from the average FPS game by using mainly the Civil War and World War 1 and its settings, two time periods not often depicted in action video games. Sometimes you will use period weapons which are slow and cumbersome, and then you will be granted a modern day weapon with which to cause havoc, which always feels very satisfying.

Fuel

Fuel is a racing and exploration game featuring bikes, quads and all sorts of four-wheeled vehicles in a huge, seamless, free-to-roam region of deserted roads and barred landscapes.
