Crysis

Crysis is based in a fictional future, where an alien race has invaded Earth. The single player campaign has the player assume the role of Jake Dunn. Dunn is a United States Delta Force operative, who is armed with various futuristic weapons and equipment, most notably a "Nano Muscle Suit", which is an artificial and technologically advanced exoskeleton, inspired by the United States' Future Warrior 2020 program, according to Bernd Diemer, one of Crytek's senior game designers.

You play as a grunt who must travel to a variety of worlds through interdimensional portals and destroy a Lovecraftian horror and hundreds of minions before they can locate and overrun earth. Dark Places is a source port that has various enhancements over the official versions.
It may not be as impressive graphically as say, Tenebrae, but this port is the widescreen king of source ports, so it gets the honors here. Dark Places can be downloaded here (original Quake data is required and not included) http://www.icculus.org/twilight/darkplaces/

Scrapland

Players control D-Tritus as he makes his way around the robot city of Chimera. The two main game modes are on foot and ship. D-Tritus gains the ability to "overwrite" other characters in the game and take their place. This allows D-Tritus to masquerade as other characters and use their unique abilities. These abilities include flight, weaponry, theft, and burping. Players can customize their ships with bigger engines or more firepower depending on their playing styles.

Sonic Riders

Players follow the exploits of a blue hedgehog and his vast array of humanoid-animal friends and rivals. There are multiple game modes including story, normal race, tag, and survival. Characters race on several variants of hoverboards that are powered by "air". When a player's character runs out of "air" they must hoof it on foot, claw, or whatever. There are several pit stations scattered throughout courses that allow players to refill their "air" gauge.

War Front: Turning Point

The game is set during World War II with some unique twists. Hitler bought the big one early in the war and technology has leaped forward. This results in a mix of traditional WWII units paired alongside quasi-futuristic weapons such as sonic tanks.Players have hero units that they can control which posses unique abilities and grow stronger with experience. Players can choose to be the Russians, Germans, or Allies (America and Britian). This game has Nazis flying around with jetpacks so it is worth a look.

Silverfall

Something bad happens to good people and it is up to you to make things right. Who needs the back-story when behind needs kicking?
