Hotline Miami is a 2D top-down action video game by Dennaton Games, a team composed of Jonatan Söderström and Dennis Wedin, who had previously collaborated on Keyboard Drumset *** Werewolf. The game is being published by Devolver Digital and was released on 23 October 2012 for Windows. The game has been described by Eurogamer as a "top down ***'em up", blending top down perspective with stealth, extreme violence and surreal storytelling, along with a soundtrack and visuals influenced by 1980s culture.

FTL: Faster Than Light

FTL: Faster Than Light is a top down, real time strategy game created by indie developers Subset Games. In the game, the player controls the crew of a single spacecraft, holding critical information to be delivered to an allied fleet several sectors away, while in pursuit by a large rebel fleet. The player must guide the spacecraft over a number of sectors, each with planetary systems and events generated in a procedurally-generated roguelike fashion, while facing against rebel and other hostile forces, recruiting new crew, and outfitting and upgrading their ship.

Forge

Forge is a PVP team-combat game, basically the end-state of many MMOs without the level grind to make it to that end-state content. It uses many similar character/class/skill tropes found in MMO games. The combat is action oriented, more like Team Fortress 2. It doesn't rely on "tab targeting" as many other MMOs do. The player must stay active and engaged in the combat to be successful.

F1 Race Stars

It is a kart racing game loosely based on the 2012 Formula One season, with circuits redesigned to feature loops, jumps and short-cuts. It is a spin-off from the traditional Formula One video games, and is the first kart-racing game developed by Codemasters.

Runaway: A Twist of Fate

Runaway: A Twist of Fate (also known as Runaway 3: A Twist of Fate) is a point-and-click graphical adventure. It is a game developed by Péndulo Studios and is the third and final chapter in the Runaway series.

The game has a 2D appearance, however only the backgrounds are in true 2D because the characters are rendered in 3D using cel-shaded animation.

Toy Soldiers

Toy Soldiers is an action and strategy video game by Signal Studios.

Players control one of two armies of miniature toy soldiers on a World War I model diorama with wooden and plastic landscapes. The diorama is set in various locations, such as a child's bedroom, library and lounge, and objects such as dressers and reading lamps are at times visible in the background.

The game features 50 different controllable units including machine guns, mortars and tanks, with the fixed emplacements being upgradable to more powerful versions.

Dwarfs!? is a free-to-play indie game on Steam where the player manages a dwarf colony digging for treasure, while defending against monsters and elements.
