Necrovision

NecroVisioN is a gory fantasy FPS remotely based on Painkiller's engine and set during WW1. It features a sophisticated combat system that lets you use your character's left hand like never before to shoot, throw, stab... and ultimately host the powerful Shadowhand. Combo kills fuel your body with adrenaline that can be used as a "bullet time" reserve or as a mystical source for the Shadowhand's spells.

Drug Wars

Merchants of Brooklyn is a first-person shooter by indie developer Paleo Entertainment. The game was made using the Cryengine 2 and is a PC exclusive. It has a cell-shaded visual style but is much more detailed than most cell-shaded games. It's a fast-paced game with little story and lots of explosions, the main gimmick being you can grab any item in the game world, charge it up with the right mouse button, then throw it as an explosive.

Legendary

Brace yourselves, Spark is back with another idea to tear New York, London and the whole world apart. Legendary is a checkpoint-based corridor FPS with lots of gore, in which you'll shoot down mythological creatures on the loose and drain their "animus" to heal yourself or release a shockwave of energy around you. The game also features LAN and online multiplayer modes.

Turning Point: Fall of Liberty

Turning Point: Fall of Liberty is a first-person shooter (although occasional events trigger a third-person view) set in a fictional year 1953 as the Nazis, supreme rulers of all Europe, launch a massive assault upon the United States.

F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin

The highly anticipated follow-up of F.E.A.R. will still be a FPS with loads of graphical violence and bullet time in a paranormal atmosphere.

Rainbow Six: Lockdown

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Lockdown is the fourth game in the Rainbow Six series. Lockdown is the first entry in the Rainbow Six series to feature graphics effects which includes normal mapping and specular lighting, as well as physics objects. Advanced graphics were available only on the PC version.

TimeShift

TimeShift is a FPS created by Saber Interactive released in 2007. This game is noteable for allowing the player to manipulate time. It also received mostly above average review scores.

Left 4 Dead

Left 4 Dead is a multiplayer first person shooter from Valve, inspired by recent "zombie apocalypse" movies such as 28 Days Later and I Am Legend. You and three other players must cooperate to progress through a series of environments while fending off an unending onslaught of virus-infected ghouls.

Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45

Fight in the theatre of war that changed the world forever. Battle alongside your compatriots on some of the most inhospitable environments of the Eastern Front in Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45. Red Orchestra places you in the most realistic WWII first-person multi-player combat to date on the PC, allowing the player to fight through some of the most intense combat of the war. You can play as infantry, using a wide range of infantry weapons, or crew one of the many armored combat vehicles available in the game, from half-tracks to the most famous German and Soviet heavy tanks.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky, is the prequel to S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, a first-person shooter video game by Ukrainian developer GSC Game World. The game consists of a roughly 50/50 mix of new areas and old, remodeled areas from the previous game. The X-ray graphics engine has been updated to version 1.5 and includes DirectX 10 support (later patch 1.5.06 included DirectX 10.1). Additionally, the AI received an overhaul to accommodate the new faction wars feature.
