Dead Synchronicity: Tomorrow Comes Today is the first game in the Dead Synchronicity series. Guide Michael, an amnesiac, through his first waking moments in the New World - a dying universe created when the Great Wave reverted the world back to the Dark Ages. Explore your new surroundings, talk to whomever can be bothered, and solve puzzles leading to the surprisingly-dark answers to otherwise-mundane questions: who are the "dissolved"? what is "dead synchronicity"? And how far will Michael go to survive in the New World?

Full Control's Space Hulk was a 1:1 conversion of the tabletop game. Released a year later, Ascension is a more "videogamey" take on Games Workshop's classic. This solo-only standalone features additions like Fog Of War, XP, branching campaigns and appearence customization - resulting in a different, yet equally brainy and brutal, turn-based tactical experience. Ascension's base game contains over a hundred missions and three space marine chapters (Ultramarines, Blood Angels and Space Wolves).

You awaken, a synthetic creature at odds with this decrepit place. The voice of your maker urges you to find Sigils, the geometric artefacts locked behind seemingly impenetrable mechanisms in rooms and passageways opening all around you. There will be devices to jam, laser beams to redirect, contraptions to activate or put to sleep. You now have a purpose. What more could you want ?

It sure looks familiar, but the sequel to 2008's tower defense classic dares to do things a bit differently.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! is a first-person shooter, and is the third FPS entry into the Borderlands series. The storyline of The Pre-Sequel focuses on Jack (who would be the antagonist in Borderlands 2), an employee of the Hyperion corporation; after the company's Helios space station is captured by a military operation known as the Lost Legion, he leads a group of four playable characters—all of whom were NPCs and bosses in previous Borderlands games—on an expedition to re-gain control of Helios and defeat the Lost Legion.
