My biggest complaints about Bioshock were utter lack of replay value, non-existant RPG elements and uninspired gameplay. (I got bored after about 30 minutes when playing it round a friends'...)

Battlefield 2 Widescreen solution update?
Specs are QX6700, 4Gb ram, 8800gtx, Vista
Oddly enough, I tried it again the other day and now it doesn't seem to work anymore :? Only thing I did was upgrade my ForceWare drivers from 163.xx to the 169.25 version.

When I add the +szx 1680 +szy 1050 command i cannot turn on Anti anialising. Any one knows a fix? It's realy annoying.

Unfortunately it's been banned here in Australia :( Stupid OFLC, when will they realise that most people who play video games nowadays aren't 13 years old. Still, I can only hope that the ban gets turned over soon.

Distance from screen
Viewing Distance Calculator
So for a 32" TV @ 1920x1080, they recommend sitting about 4-5 feet away from your screen. In the end though, just go with whatever you're most comfortable with.

Halo 3
Actually Halo 3 runs at 640p (1152x640) with double frame buffers :)
I think you mean triple frame buffers, double frame buffering is already implemented in hardware as page flipping.

Perhaps you could try a different brand of PSU, I've never heard of Alim (though then again I'm not really familiar with PSU brands).

How to decode the 5.1 audio of HDTV broadcasts in Vista?
Not 100% sure if it'll work flawlessly in Vista, but it sounds like AC3Filter would fit your needs perfectly (plus it's free as well).

Anyone for WinSPMBT PBEM?
The title doesn't say it all, I had to use Google to find out what "WinSPMBT" means. So that everyone else doesn't have to look it up, it's a Windows port of Steel Panthers (a turn-based strategy game revolving around tanks). Not really my sort of thing, but for anyone else you can go here to take a ...

Does anyone else find it sad that a game from god knows when has better widescreen support then most games released in the past few years?
In this case, I think it's more of a nice by-product of how Windows handles window scaling. I doubt that Sid Meier designed the game with widescreen in ...

Can you pillarbox?
I need to verify this. Do I need DVI to use pillarboxing, or can I do it
with VGA?
Stevedroid said "Yes", but then started talking about something completely different.

You might not have to disable that (I didn't need to). Go to nView Display Settings, click the "Device Settings" Button and select "Device Adjustments". From here pick the "Fixed Aspect Ratio" radio button and click OK. Keep in mind you have to be using DVI for all of this to become available.

And how painful is the internet activation? Simple? How restrictive is it? Because as much as I want this game, if I have to sweat blood to get the thing activated, I don't want to know. ;)
I don't think you can activate it until they enable the activation servers on the official release date ...

I see, on the dvd case it says: A game by idsoftware.com, Developed by raven, Published by Activision. What does a game by idsoftware mean if they didn't do anything? :P

I think they are also missing Heretic 2.
I've played most of these games, but it would be nice to have them sitting in steam any time I want... then I don't have to go looking for them and install.. etc
