Solutions & Issues
The field of view is reduced by default (vert-), although the in-game FOV slider found under Graphics settings allows to increase it up to 120. This is equivalent to 105 of 16:9 at 21:9, and to 81 at 32:9. The latter is below the default value of 90, so the following solution is necessary for super ultrawide.
To maintain the vertical FOV (hor+):
- Make sure the game had been launched to generate its config files.
- Go to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Firmament\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor (e.g. by typing it in Windows Search).
- Open Engine.ini in any text editor.
- Add these lines at the end:
- Save the file.
[/Script/Engine.LocalPlayer]

Compared to 21:9, where the native in-game slider may be enough to compensate for the field of view reduction, the config modification documented under the ultrawide section is crucial for making the game playable in multi-monitor.
The game does not have a HUD, however, multi-monitor aspect ratios are affected by multiple UI issues.
- The item pickup and interaction prompts appear at the far edges of the entire screen space, outside the center monitor.
- At 48:9, the top part of the controls of virtually all mechanisms required to progress through the game is cropped out, hiding the purpose of the controls. Lowering the Adjunct UI Scale under Display options allows to bring the hints into the view, addressing the issue.
- Similarly to the previous issue, at 48:9, the bottom part of the controls UI when using the diving suit is cut off, but nothing crucial is displayed there.
- The settings screens span across the viewable space, while the Graphics settings menu elements become very big, though fully navigable.
See the Additional Screenshots below for the demonstrations.
The game includes a slider for lowering the resolution scale and supports FSR 1.0, as well as DLSS on the compatible hardware.
