Some widescreen resolutions can be unlocked with a replacement DLL, but 3D elements are stretched from 4:3. Menus and FMVs always use a 640x480 resolution. Files available from the PC Gaming Wiki Community Files (search there).Wiki
Install the game with MechVM, then use the replacement MW2SHELL.DLL. Use the MechVM version for modern systems (the original Kanajana DLL is included for reference). Resolutions should then be available in-game. Some of the resolutions listed may crash the game. Refer to the included readme for supported editions.
Editions with Glide renderers can be run in higher 4:3 resolutions using nGlide (does not require DLL replacement). Note that the 3Dfx Interactive Edition does not actually include a Glide renderer so nGlide will not work for this edition.
