Solutions & Issues
These console commands are suggested as launch options. They will skip the intro videos, and open up additional graphics settings - even if the game thinks your video card can't handle them:
+com_skipIntroVideo 1 +set m_smooth 0 +menu_advanced_AllowAllSettings 1
Weapon and weapon hand are slightly out of aspect. You probably wouldn't even notice (at least with initial weapons) without side-by-side screenshots. Flawless Widescreen fixes this.
To get multi-mon resolution, first select 16:3 aspect ratio. Res is natively supported, but the aspect ratio is improperly calculated. Native support is a mix of Hor+ and stretch. The aspect is just wider than 21:9, and then stretched across triple monitors Use Flawless Widescreen for proper aspect ratio and FOV.
Update
Latest Flawless Widescreen patch has apparently brought back support after Bethesda/ID patched it out.
Update 2018-04-05
Up until DOOM patch from March 2018, Flawless Widescreen worked with Helifax' modified DOOM.lua found at http://www.3dsurroundgaming.com/FWS/DOOM.lua.
After March 2018 patch, the DOOM.lua from Helifax (and the unmodified Flawless Widescreen) does not work.
