The game only choosable resolutions are 640x400, 800x600 and 1024x768. First, you have to start the game and choose a resolution, just pick one of those three, so the entries in the registry will be made. Quit the game and start regedit and go to:

and change the entries heigth and width to appropriate values. In my case to 800 and 1280.
