Bulletstorm

Bulletstorm takes place in the 26th century, where the universe is run by the Confederation of Planets. Star General Saranno sends his secret black ops team to do his dirty work, the Dead Echo team, led by Grayson Hunt (Steven Blum). Following Sarrano's orders and assassinating those whom they believe are criminals, Dead Echo kill a man known as Bryce Novak, but soon discover he was a civilian reporter, documenting civilian deaths caused by Dead Echo.

Grayson and his team realize they have been duped by Sarrano and desert, becoming space pirates on the run from Sarrano's forces. The game is distinguished by its sense of style and crass humor, rewarding players with points for performing increasingly ludicrous kills. Bulletstorm does not have any competitive multiplayer modes, preferring instead to include cooperative online play as well as score attack modes.

Widescreen Solution & Issues:

Regardless of the AR, the game has performance issues if width & height are not both multiples of 8.
While the game may run smoothly on a given PC at 1920x1200 and 1920x1080, switching to 1680x1050 or 1600x900 will result in a massive drop of the framerate even though these are lower resolutions, only because they are not multiples of 8.

Method: Native. Resolution can be changed at any time from the options menu.

Screen change: 16:9 anamorphism.

Eyefinity / Surround Specific Solution & Issues:

NEW FIX (Posted 12/26/2012 but has been around for longer) : Flawless Widescreen from Hayden fixes Bulletstorm without tedious ini editing. Even the cutscenes, which are frequent, are properly hor+ with Flawless Widescreen.

OLD FIX: The game is Vert- in multi-mon out of the box, but most of the game can be fixed through .ini edits. Bullestorm's config files are encrypted, though so you need a third-party app. Or you can simply use my fixed files (FOV values calculated for 48:9, should look ok on wider/narrower multi-mon setups).

USING THE FIXED FILES

The Config folder in this archive contains ONLY the necessary fixed files, so you have to paste it over an EXISTING Config folder !

1) Download the fixed files: Files available from the PC Gaming Wiki Community Files (search there)
2) In Windows explorer navigate to Documents\My Games\BulletStorm\StormGame\
3) Copy & paste your EXISTING Config folder so as to create a backup.
4) Drag the newly downloaded Config folder over your old Config folder, replacing existing files.
5) That's it ! Run the game and enjoy.

FIXING YOUR OWN FILES

A bit tedious but pretty easy if you know how to use the command prompt... and FOVCalc.

As mentioned, there is no way to fix cutscenes through ini

The FOVs shown here are the default ones. Use FOV calculator to find out the required FOV values. Don't just add 50 to these values.
