DisplayPort to DVI MST Hub with PLP support

Over the recent years we have seen multi-screen video technologies really improve to achieve some great things such as AMD's Eyefinity and Nvidia's Surround, we even have the Matrox TH2G and Mview products.

Unfortunately, there is still a lack of any DisplayPort to DVI Multi-Stream Transport (MST) hubs on the market and there is even less support for Portrait-Landscape-Portrait (PLP). The only way of achieving PLP for gaming is via the SoftTH software, which from experience is less than user friendly, and also limited to DirectX9.

Create an Eyefinity Wallpaper and Win a copy of DiRT Showdown

AMD was gracious enough to give us a handful of DiRT Showdown keys. Win a copy by creating an Eyefinity wallpaper with a DiRT Showdown theme. Hit up the source link for info on the game, the contest, and to grab some art and assets that Codemasters and AMD gave us for the contest.

Entires will be taken for two weeks, until June 6th. Voting will commence for a week after that.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) expands upon the team-based action gameplay that it pioneered when it was launched 12 years prior.

CS:GO features new maps, characters, and weapons and delivers updated versions of the classic CS content (de_dust, etc.). In addition, CS:GO introduces new gameplay modes, matchmaking, leaderboards, and more.

Why Blizzard, Why?

But here's the kicker... Blizzard actually put in multi-monitor support - but it's crap support.

So Diablo III launched yesterday with much fanfare and many "Error 37's". What it didn't launch with was proper Eyefinity or Surround support. Based on folks who played the beta, and feedback from the devs in the official D3 forums, we knew this was going to be the case at launch.

What I don't get is why. Blizzard knows how to make a multi-monitor game (they updated WOW with the Lich King expansion), and indie devs stumble into proper support without knowing it. Think I'm joking? Check this out...

Diablo III

Diablo III is the long awaited installment in the Diablo series from Blizzard. The gameplay is a genre-defining "action RPG" that is known for it's one click per attack, and extensive "loot" system which offers near limitless upgrades to weapons, items and armor.

Donation Drive for the WSGF

I have never really done this before, but I am now coming to the community and asking for your assistance in covering our monthly costs. Recent changes in our hosting costs, and current advertisers has brought me to the decision that I need to ask the community for help.

The WSGF has always been open and free. We don't charge for any of our information, our solutions or site access. Many other sites require you to register to view certain sections of their forums, search their forums or view/download attachments to articles and forums. I can't stand that, and we will never do that. The WSGF isn't at risk of shutting down. But your donations will help take a lot of stress off of me, and it will help us continue to grow and expand. We want to do more for the community, and offer more. We just can't do it all by ourselves.

Update: Thanks to everyone who donated. We hit our first goal on 5/25. Like all that Kickstarter stuff, I'm going to put in a stretch goal. I'd like to see if we can cover the costs for the awards that we sent out in February.

Here's a few questions I figure some folks might have, or might ask, so I'll try and answer them proactively:

What do I get for donating?

You get a nice warm fuzzy feeling in your heart. If you donate $25 or more, I'll add the "I Donated" badge to your profile. If you donate $100 or more, I'll also add the "Like a Boss" badge to your profile. Please note - Prior to this donation drive, the *ONLY* people on the site to have the "Like a Boss" badge are the four-man Admin Team (skipclarke, AussieTimmeh, CrackerJackMack and Delphium).

TERA, Multi Monitor Review [~4K]

Todays review is TERA, which is a action MMORPG, its unique selling point is its free flowing combat which is allot of fun, its just a shame the questing system is so generic. Once again your feedback is appreciated.

While this video can be watched on any screen it has been encoded to look best on a multi-monitor system, so if your running such a system, then select original quality from the drop down box and watch in fullscreen.

Some screenshots can be found here.

Path of Exile

A dark fantasy action RPG with visceral combat.

In Path of Exile, the player has been exiled from their homeland to the corrupted and deeply hostile continent of Wraeclast. Alone, or with other exiles, they must develop their skills and discover powerful magical artifacts in order to survive the challenges of a cutthroat post-apocalyptic fantasy world.

Path of Exile immerses the player in a gritty and realistic art style that goes against the current industry trend of cartoony RPGs.

Our combat is especially visceral, with plenty of blood and gore.
