Risen is a single-player fantasy-themed action role-playing game by the German company Piranha Bytes, and published by Deep Silver. Piranha Bytes itself developed the Windows version, which was released on October 2, 2009.
Risen takes place in Faranga, a fictitious volcanic, mediterranean island with different sub-climates and vegetation zones. The island is inhabited by humans, as well as many fantastic creatures.
Darkest of Days is an FPS from 8Monkey Studios, published by Phantom EFX. The game is seperated from the average FPS game by using mainly the Civil War and World War 1 and its settings, two time periods not often depicted in action video games. Sometimes you will use period weapons which are slow and cumbersome, and then you will be granted a modern day weapon with which to cause havoc, which always feels very satisfying.
Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood is a Western themed shooter from Techland and Ubisoft, and the second game in the Call of Juarez series. You play as one of two brothers, Ray and Thomas, and the other one is computer controlled. Gameplay mainly consists of shooting your way through a bunch of levels that look like sets from A Fistful of Dollars and The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.

Kane & Lynch is a run-of-the-mill third-person shooter with elements of squad gameplay, in the vein of Freedom Fighters - only with a more theatrical feel and lots of "mature" language.
Zeno Clash is a first-person shooter/brawler developed by ACE Team. The game has an incredibly unique visual style and impressive graphics using the Source Engine from Valve. A PC exclusive, Zeno Clash controls and plays very smooth and is a must-play for fans of the genre.
Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena is the sequel to Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay from Starbreeze Studios in association with Vin Diesel's Tigon Studios. The game includes the original Butcher Bay game with enhanced visuals to match the sequel. Gameplay focuses on first-person stealth, melee combat and shooting, along with a strong focus on story, dialogue and cinematic moments. One of the most overlooked shooters in recent years, Dark Athena deserves a purchase from all FPS fans.

The first in the Burnout series to be ported to the PC, Burnout Paradise is an arcade driving/racing game. Enter a challenge at every crossroad in Paradise City, from "orienteering" races to stunt contests - or freely roam the streets, train tracks, multiple-storey parking lots and buidings roofs in search of Super Jumps or "smashables" to add to your achievements list. With a host of community tools, modes and leaderboards, the game is also strongly oriented towards online multiplayer.
The highly anticipated follow-up of F.E.A.R. will still be a FPS with loads of graphical violence and bullet time in a paranormal atmosphere.
