Garry's Mod

Although Garry's Mod is usually considered to be a full game, it has no game objective and players can use the game's set of tools for any purpose. Garry's Mod allows players to manipulate "props" – various objects that players can place in-game. Props can be selected from any installed Source engine game or from a community created collection. The game features two "guns" – Physics Gun and Tool Gun for manipulating objects. The Physics Gun allows objects to be picked up, adjusted and frozen in place.

Call of Duty: Black Ops

Black Ops is a first-person shooter, retaining the same gameplay mechanics as previous Call of Duty titles. The player assumes the role of a foot soldier who can wield various firearms (only two of which can be carried at once), throw grenades and other explosives, and use other equipment as weapons. A player close enough to an enemy can kill with one knife blow. A character can take three stances: standing, crouching or prone. Each affects rate of movement, accuracy, and stealth.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

The player assumes the role of various characters during the single-player campaign, changing perspectives throughout the progression of the story. Each level is a mission that features a series of objectives that are displayed on the heads up display, which marks the direction and distance towards and from such objectives. Damage to the player is shown by blood appearing on the screen. The player's health regenerates as time passes.

The Haunted: Hell's Reach

Massacre meets machismo in this third-person co-op survival shooter. Repel demonic hordes with firearms, melee and hand-to-hand moves in various solo and multiplayer modes over eight open maps plus an Inferno boss stage. And for a change of pace, why not play as a trap-setting, minion-spawning demon yourself ?

Magicka

In Magicka, up to four players take on a grand adventure to save their world from certain doom using a fully dynamic spell system. The adventure mode takes the players across three different levels, ranging from the lush forests of mountain valleys to the frozen halls of the Mountain King where wits and creative thinking are the keys to victory.

Section 8: Prejudice

Like its predecessor, the characters in Section 8: Prejudice wear powered armor suits. The player can use "overdrive" to move horizontally at superhuman speeds, or activate their jet pack to achieve new heights. Instead of having fixed spawn points, the player chooses where to "drop in" and their character is subsequently launched into the battlefield from orbital dropships that are 15,000 feet above the surface. While burning in, the player character can be attacked by enemy players and anti-air turrets, but the dropping player can instantly kill another player by landing directly on them.

FlatOut 3: Chaos & Destruction

Guess what, this game has very little in common with the ones it wants to pass as a sequel of.
Chaos & Destruction is an arcadey racing game with minimalistic physics and where nitrous is not only used to overtake and ram opponents, it also heals your car. Tapping the additional invulnerability reserve will also prove useful to survive close encounters at 200 mph. The game features numerous vehicle classes, environments and game modes including silly "ragdoll olympics"-style challenges and 16-player MP.

Bloodline Champions

Bloodline Champions (BLC) is an arena-based free to play PvP game developed by the Swedish company Stunlock Studios and distributed by Funcom using Microsoft XNA. Bloodline Champions won both "Game of the Year" and "Winner XNA" in the Swedish Game Awards 2009.

The players in this game are split up into two teams (Warm and Cold) with up to five players per team. The objective is different depending on the game mode, ranging from team deathmatch and capture-the-flag to map point control.

Dead Space 2

Dead Space 2 is a survival horror third-person shooter. The player controls Isaac Clarke from a third-person point of view, looking over the character's right shoulder. The game features no HUD, relying on holograms projected from the player character and his weapons to show information such as messages and ammunition count, respectively. Player health and stasis are shown by visual indicators on Isaac's back. Isaac must fight an alien organism that infects and takes control of human corpses, turning them into "Necromorphs", mutating their bodies.
