Spore is a multi-genre single-player god game developed by Maxis and designed by Will Wright. The game was released for the Microsoft Windows and Macintosh operating systems in September 2008 as Spore. Covering many genres including action, real-time strategy, and RPG, the game allows a player to control the development of a species from its beginnings as a microscopic organism, through development as an intelligent and social creature, to interstellar exploration as a spacefaring culture.

Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning is the popular MMO from from Mythic, set in the Warhammer universe.

Dead Space is a third-person survival horror-action video game, developed by EA Redwood Shores for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Microsoft Windows. The player takes on the role of an engineer named Isaac Clarke, who battles a polymorphic, virus-like, alien infestation called the 'Corruption', which turns humans into grotesque alien monsters called 'Necromorphs',on board a stricken interstellar mining ship.

Armies of Exigo is a real-time strategy video game for Microsoft Windows. The game was created by Black Hole Entertainment and distributed by Electronic Arts. One unique aspect of the game is that it has an underground mode. This makes the game more challenging as the player has to work on two fronts and might have an army come from an unexpected area.

The first (and to date, only) first-person iteration of the Command & Conquer series, Command & Conquer: Renegade puts you on the ground as GDI Commando Nick "Havok" Parker in a series of missions to stop the Brotherhood of Nod from developing an army of Tiberium-mutated super-soldiers.

Players can create and name players which can be added to the roster. Players can also be upgraded to 99 using a special feature. Although the player can be named in any way, the commentator can speak out their last name if given American names.

The events in these games take some of the lesser-detailed events in the J. R. R. Tolkien Lord of the Rings universe and turns them into RTS campaigns. Gameplay is the same as the first game with some tweaks and improvements. The Battle for Middle-earth II allows you to complete two campaings for good and evil with the Witch-King expansion adding another evil campaign. I will take the Ring.

SimCity Societies is a city-building simulation computer game developed by Tilted Mill Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts (EA), and is part of the Sim games series. The gameplay is significantly different from previous SimCity titles, with a greater focus on "social engineering".
