Sea Dogs

Sea Dogs is a pirate-themed RPG by Akella. Players can hire a crew and buy or capture ships, sign on as a privateer working for a European power, or become a pirate. It was succeeded by Age of Pirates: Caribbean Tales, which continues the story with the children of Sea Dogs' main character.

PT Boats: Knights of the Sea

PT Boats: Knights of the Sea is a naval simulation that places gamers in charge of a mosquito fleet of the Allied Forces, Russia or Germany during the height of World War II. Torpedo and storm-boats, trawlers and patrol ships plough the seas. Their advantage is speed and maneuverability. Suddenly they appear in front of the enemy with devastating firepower and then vanish in the morning haze. They are hard to spot and difficult to catch.

Age of Pirates: Caribbean Tales

Age of Pirates: Caribbean Tales (also known as Sea Dogs: Caribbean Tales) is a video game developed by Akella. Due to legal issues, it does not bear the name of the developers' previous pirate games Sea Dogs and Pirates of the Caribbean. Ironically, Pirates of the Caribbean was originally developed as Sea Dogs 2, but was modified at the brink of its release to fit the film license. Age of Pirates, on the other hand, is a true sequel to Sea Dogs despite the name change, and chronicles the story of the children of the main character from the original.

Pirates of the Caribbean

Pirates of the Caribbean is an action role-playing game in which the player, as Captain Nathaniel Hawk, goes on a series of quests for any one of the countries that control the islands of the Caribbean in the 17th Century. The player can buy new ships, recruit a crew and hire officers who will follow Hawk on his quest and help him in battle. The game features gameplay that takes place both on land and at sea, and allows the player to upgrade their character by earning skill points and gain new abilities.
