Operation Flashpoint: Red River

This game is a tactical shooter videogame, the same as its predecessor. The player has the choice of playing the campaign co-operatively. However, the game will not feature competitive multiplayer. The game will not feature a mission editor or SDK for any platform. The player will be able to choose between four classes of Marines to play as, rifleman, grenadier, scout and automatic rifleman, each with their own weapons and abilities. The player will gain experience during gameplay, which can be used to unlock guns, attachments and perks.

Homefront Custom Launcher Tool

New forum member jack.stone put together a cool Custom Launcher for Homefront. The tool provides a GUI interface for changing resolution and game quality options. It's a great tool for those who use different monitor configurations, or want to spend time tweaking their quality settings for optimal fps performance.

Portal 2

Portal 2 is a puzzle game presented from the first-person perspective. Normally, the player, as either Chell in the single-player campaign or as one of two robots, Atlas or P-body, in the co-operative campaign, can move, look, and carry and drop objects. The goal is to maneuver the characters through a number of test chambers in the Aperture Science facility, traversing the chamber from the start to the exit.

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light

Played from an isometric-like perspective, this 3D action/adventure game combines platform, combat and puzzles through the jungles and not-quite-abandoned aztec temples of Yucatan. The game features local and online 2-player coop, but slight differences in gameplay and level design make it possible to play the whole game solo.

AMD Radeon 6790 Review

AMD continues to fill out their Radeon 6000 Roadmap with the release of the HD 6790. The HD 6790 slots right between the Radeon HD 6850, and the legacy Radeon HD 5770 (which is often now branded as the Radeon HD 6770 by OEMs).

In reviewing the marketing materials (i.e., Press Decks), it is obvious that the target for the Radeon HD 6790 is single screen 1080p gaming. The slides makes more than one reference to either "Full HD Gaming" or "1080p", while only making passing references to Eyefinity and HD3D technologies.

StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty

StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty is a military science fiction real-time strategy video game developed and released by Blizzard Entertainment for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X. A sequel to the award-winning 1998 video game StarCraft and its expansions, the game was released worldwide on July 27, 2010. It is split into three installments: the base game with the subtitle Wings of Liberty, and two upcoming expansion packs, Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void.
