Shift is a half-arcade, half-serious racing sim. Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising is a first person tactical military game for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 developed by British game developer Codemasters. Codemasters have advertised the game as a tactical shooter designed to realistically represent modern infantry combat. It has Single-Player, 4 Player co-op and Multi-Player modes.
Empire: Total War is the latest Total War game from The Creative Assemply, published by (of all places) Sega. Empire is a total warfare simulator which uses two modes, a turn-based "grand campaign" and a real-time battle mode to give the player complete control over a worldwide conflict in the 1800s.

Anno 1404 is a real-time strategy game with an emphasis on economy and... cuteness. Time to explore the seas and let your colony prosper as the crusade is brewing and mysteries of the Orient await. The new Anno boasts improved graphics, a refined interface and features a "continuous play" (sandbox) mode besides the main campaign. There's also an online leaderboard and custom map sharing system - but there's no multiplayer of any kind.
