Excizted Is the successor to the vx2262wm, the VX2265wm Edge Gamer available in the Netherlands?

I don't know much about it. It claims a "Revolutionary, pure 120Hz frame rate" (as opposed to 60Hz/57Hz). That might put the price up too much? I'm not sure if using it via TH2G means you can only use 57Hz anyway.

Doesn't look like, and yeah 120hz instead of the standard usually is 1/5 extra in the price.

On the Viewsonic site for Denmark the VX2262wm, that's the 62 not the 65, is listed. Perhaps you could contact them for reseller information?

I also found availability for some monitors a problem when I was going through the process. I share your pain.

Otherwise look under "Candidates Not available in Australia" in "2009-01. The best 22" widescreeen all round monitor" for other possibilities.

Well there should be no need to contact for reseller information, because if it's not popping up through google, then it's not being sold in EU ;o

lol I wouldn't say google is 100% accurate on everything, this is a myth !
Google is very nice indeed but it's not pure & perfect either ...

for example a week ago I searched google for documentation (pdf) on a dell specific notebook for a friend (4150 or something)

I found documentation for the dell notebook 1150 (first or second result in fact) (the 4150 was nowhere in the list of found results)
fortunately the URL of the pdf documentation for the 1150 was self explanatory and dell website nicely organized so it was just a matter of replacing the 1 with 4 in the url to find it ...


this proves that google does not index everything, so double checking is an option...

I've been reading all of the reviews for the monitors listed, and it seems that the Samsung SyncMaster 2243BW has been rated bad for things like no dead pixels warranty, and viewing angle.

I really don't understand the concerns about viewing angle, since I always have been living with monitors with somewhat this viewing angle - and I don't have any problem with this viewing angle, since I just adjust the monitor so that the viewing angle is fine.

Also my last DGM 22" monitor has had a dead pixel - actually I don't even know about if there was any warranty, I just wouldn't bother because of one out of 1764000 pixels to be dead.

It really seems hard to find a monitor in the middle-price class that has just over 50% review/score. Throwing more money and getting the Dell G2210 would seem as the best alternative to this Samsung, but it is a bit expensive, and I'm not sure whether it'd be suitable for triple-head - or compatible with it at all.

Since I actually need three I won't be able to notice small things like dead pixels 'n such. Ergonomics/adjustable stand doesn't mean a lot neither, since the only adjustable monitor I've ever lived with was a tilt-able Dell 17" monitor, few years ago.

I'm very thankful so far with the advices I've been given,

seems like this particular screen has a worse lower viewing angle than old samsung 226BW
Also, keep in mind reviews are done for everything or anyone, so it's up to you to virtually give him more "stars" if there's some "issues" you can deal with ...

Finally you forgot game rendering problem (major issue IMO),that is if you intend to use fast 3D games (like FPS) I advise against this screen since it has a permanent ghosting effect .. (see for yourself in the face offs in game rendering best result ...) it won't be noticed in slow pace 3D games though ...

To each his own, I exchanged my Hyundai W220D on day 1 because of one pixel stuck to the blue color right above crosshairs in fps...

Well which monitor should I go with then?
The Samsung isn't good for gaming and the Viewsonic is out of production?
