I've been reading all of the reviews for the monitors listed, and it seems that the Samsung SyncMaster 2243BW has been rated bad for things like no dead pixels warranty, and viewing angle.
I really don't understand the concerns about viewing angle, since I always have been living with monitors with somewhat this viewing angle - and I don't have any problem with this viewing angle, since I just adjust the monitor so that the viewing angle is fine.

seems like this particular screen has a worse lower viewing angle than old samsung 226BW
Also, keep in mind reviews are done for everything or anyone, so it's up to you to virtually give him more "stars" if there's some "issues" you can deal with ...
Finally you forgot game rendering problem (
major issue IMO),that is if you intend to use fast 3D games (like FPS) I advise against this screen since it has a permanent ghosting effect .. (see for yourself in the face offs in game rendering best result ...) it won't be noticed in slow pace 3D games though ...
Also my last DGM 22" monitor has had a dead pixel - actually I don't even know about if there was any warranty, I just wouldn't bother because of one out of 1764000 pixels to be dead.
To each his own, I exchanged my Hyundai W220D on day 1 because of one pixel stuck to the blue color right above crosshairs in fps...
