Yeah I get the same thing, I can choose my triplewide resolution, but it shows the center screen and about an inch on the left and the right screen. Supposedly this game claims support for "tripledef" solutions.

Game does look gorgeous DX11.

thales.100:

Hey Ubi_Antoine, please do you know if GRFS will support multi-monitor configurations such as Eyefinity and Nvidia Surround ? Do you also know if GRFS will support 3D Vision ?

- Support for multi-monitor configurations: not at launch, but coming a few weeks after launch through a title update.
- Support for 3D Vision: no, but the title will support TriDef 3D Stereoscopy.

Not all good news :

· Will there be adjustable FOV?

No adjustable FOV.

Thanks for that information, looks like we have to wait a few weeks to play it on multi-monitor.

Yes i have the latest patch (1.3) installed and noting has changed yet (still black bars). There is coming an 1.4 title patch and that isn't even sure if that will support nvidia surround properly.

So if somebody can just make a fix for this because it takes really long and we are not even sure that it will ever be solved.

And i'm reading notes that 1.4 has been delayed by another two weeks so i'm guessing it'll be a while before Multi Monitor support will be implemented.
Especially with all the screaming on the forum of people who are having so many issues with the game that ubi should fix first, and their apparent focus on the console versions.

In a weird way its also funny to read those post about people saying they are "fuming" and all about the game not working properly for them (first world problems FTW! :P), but that's another discussion :P

I think we have to wait 1 more month extra. Damn Ubisoft |(

Ubisoft forum: here

Update 1.4 still doesn't have multi-monitor support as you can read in the above link :(
I am giving up hope, i think ubisoft will never make a fix for multi-mon for this game.

I'm putting together a nice beginners fixing tutorial based around how I did my fix for Vice City, since it covered some interesting pitfalls. It only took a few days of learning basic assembler/reverse engineering techniques, so maybe it'd be enough to help you make a fix yourself (you said you were interested in another thread). I'm hoping to have it up tomorrow or the day after.

Good news! Ubi_Antoine just replied!

Hello Ghosts,

Many thanks Mush for the heads-up.
I can confirm that we are adding support for AMD Eyefinity and NVIDIA Surround 2D.
It may be available with TU 1.4 coming on August 13th - we are currently testing it. I'll keep you posted.

Slightly worried about his choice of words though, "may be" doesn't sound very final, so just asked him about that in the thread.

NVIDIA Surround is working for me now with the latest patch. The cutscene movies are centered, while everything else takes up 3 monitors and the FOV looks to be correct as well. The mouse movement is a little bit wonky in the menus in Surround though.

It is working for me as well after the latest patch on a GTX680.
I didn't happen to get a particularly pretty shot, but in play it looks really good and feels right to me. I'm quite pleased because I had been waiting on WS support to play it.

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but the screenshot here has an odd aspect that I don't see in game...

Well yay for NVSurround (lucky me!), boo on the negative on Eyefinity :(

I'll bump the thread on their forum, see if we can get an official response from them.

Well...

FINALLY the Nvidia surround is working:
Before the patch, this game used to crash 40 seconds into the intro movie on 1 screen. a REAL crash. The kind where ctrl alt del doesn't help you, but you need to power off at the wall.

Since the patch:

The good: WOW. It works. Probably the best looking game on NV surround since Max Payne 3. And it is great fun to play for 6 minutes...

The bad: that crash that used to happen at 40 seconds in... now happens at 6 minutes in, or halfway through the second firefight while trying to save the fat guy.

Eish.
So much potential. This game could be awesome.
So little attention to us rich gamers with many screens.

i7 980 at 3.3ghz
3x GTX 580's in sli (for those who are working out why.)

I didn't realize AMD support wasn't working. Bummer. I recently switched from 2x6870's to the 680 GTX. Each (Eyefinity vs NVS) have pros and cons, but I've been pleased with the change overall. I do miss AMD's quick menu and hotkeys to change monitor configs.

As to the crash, I haven't had any, but I don't have any great ideas about why mine has been different. Perhaps SLI related? I'm running a single 680 with latest Windows patches and Nvidia drivers as of 8/16/2012 (non-beta).

Other than that, specs are 2nd gen i7 @ 4.4 ghz, 680GTX 2GB, 16 GB DDR3, SSD/HD combo with Steam on HD, X-Fi titanium sound, TrackIR, 360 gamepad, Saitek joysitck, Thurstmaster wheel, MS Sidewinder Mouse/kbd, 3x 24" Viewsonic + 1 47" Westinghouse, Windows 7 Pro x64 + MS Security essentials and built in firewall with exceptions.

As for the game, it is fun both single player and co-op with nice graphics and sound and a cool timed kill mechanic. Gadgets are fun. Story is typical. Haven't tried competitive multiplayer and probably won't.

Good luck!

Just to be clear, patch 1.4 fixed multi-monitor for everybody AFAIK - i.e not only Nv Surround, but also Eyefinity, and probably TripleHead2go etc. ;)
The game seems to have perfect Hor+ support now, I'll try to post a DR soon.

Umm, this might take longer than I expected... WS support is actually quite messed up :
- on an AMD card, WS is anamorphic 16:9.
- on a Nvidia card, non-16:9 WS is squished.
Of course I tried disabling Surround, setting the desktop to 16:10 and rebooting, DX11 on/off etc., to no avail. I just can't get letterboxing to kick in on my Nvidia rig.

Guess I'll have to take screenies and report to Ubi...
If you guys could run the game in non-16:9 widescreen, tell me how's the picture (letterboxed? squished?) and specify your GPU, that'd help me confirm that brand-based support theory.

The bug report's done, hope it makes good sense: http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/686379-Bugs-Report-FPS-Resolution?p=8595328&viewfull=1#post8595328
I've also submitted the issue to Ubi tech support.
