Has anyone figured out a way to alter the FOV for this game?

Improves the alignment of the HUD for the 21:9, 4:3 and 5:4 screen ratios.

From the patch notes. I can confirm the HUD is now spanning properly for 21:9 aspect ratio. The black bars are still present during cut-scenes.

HUD is broken as well. Cutscenes are boxed out. Personally the HUD bothers me more than anything and I'd really appreciate a fix for that.

Just for testing purposes, try setting your resolution to 2560x1080 and see if the issue persists.

First off, welcome to WSGF. Are you positive you followed the instructions provided by HaYDeN in flawlesswidescreen? You need to make sure the game starts up in full screen mode not windowed. Flawless widscreen also needs to already be running with all fixes turned on before you start up the game ...

So i managed to roll back to the previous update by replacing these two files.
evilwithin.exe (31648 kb)
and base\common.tangoresource file (42661 kb)

As any other files could have been updated i don't know if any flaw could happen but at least the game is starting wide screen.

How did you roll ...

Just a heads up guys. The latest update that released today has broken the Flawless Widescreen plugin for The Evil Within. It is now outputting the following error code:

I just loaded up Dying Light to test run and great news on the Ultrawide screen front. It has proper 21:9 resolution support and all menus adjust accordingly. Just started playing and the game seems to function as intended on 2560x1080. Only drawback I have seen so far are the cinematics, as they seem to be rendered in 16:9 leaving black bars on the sides. Other than that, the hud scales as it should and the FOV seems great. I will post back if i find any ...

Assassin's Creed Unity supports 21:9 resolutions. I have played about 30 minutes so far and everything seems to work as it should. It also has a decent FOV and the hud scales properly. Will continue to look for any inconsistencies but so far so good.
