I hate to break the news to you, but Surround gaming will only works properly with 3x 285 cards. Here is the link from Nvidia.

Pretty much!

This is precisely what you need to do, just look at the 2D section:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-surround-system-requirements.html

Also make sure you're up to date on drivers- this is quite driver-dependent, unlike the Matrox. If you do not receive the proper ...

I'd echo the ATI

I'd echo the ATI sentiment.

That said, I've noticed a few things using nVidia 2D Surround in Guild Wars 2. There are some major scaling issues in cutscenes and the character creation/selection screens. Other than that, landscape mode works fine. In portrait mode, things get a little more ...

Got mine working finally. Apparently the refurb displays had borked firmware- get what ya pay for.

Ended up going with Dell UltraSharp displays that support portrait mode, and everything works wonderfully with 2 DVI and 1 DP. I've tried out portrait mode as well with the 680, in addition to ...

Why... did I not think of this. I even have a cable to do it. NGH. Time for troubleshooting!

EDIT: No luck. Dual link, regular, HDMI or DisplayPort... nothing gives the correct resolution. The only thing I haven't tried is a Dual Link DP but I'm not sure that'd make much difference considering ...

Received my 680 on Tuesday- been running it through tests and games since. Upgraded from an old 295 which was coupled with a Matrox TH2G. Far as performance the thing is a beast- it's enough to run Skyrim (with a plethora of graphic mods including the texture pack) on ultra and doesn't break a sweat ...

It's like this for Oblivion

It's like this for Oblivion and Skyrim. Global hotkeys don't work while in-game, but SHIFT-TAB works to bring up the Steam overlay. While in the overlay, global hotkeys work, but only then.

Wasn't able to dig up anything specifically on that model, but I will offer up my experience with BenQ so you have at least something to go off of.

I use 3x BenQ FP202W V3 20-inch displays with a Matrox TH2G. The displays do both 57/59 refresh rates and I haven't had any complaints about them ...

I believe you can also run SC2 in windowed mode and it will automatically center (assuming you don't mind seeing your desktop). At least, that works for a TH2G.

Your issue sounds a little

Your issue sounds a little suspect to me. I'm running TOR on the 295 GTX with a Matrox TH2G (also at 5040x1050) but haven't had any issues beyond turning AA off and everything else up at max. Turning shadows to low was an additional change I made later for a little more FPS gain, but... it should ...

Just to add on to what's

Just to add on to what's already been said...

If you purchase a new nVidia card (such as an EVGA 590 Classified), these cards can do triple display natively without the TH2G, so the extra black box becomes redundant.

And as if it couldn't be said enough... more VRAM is better, especially ...

I'm sort of actually in the same boat as you, though I don't have an overheating problem. My card in a 295 GTX from EVGA (sadly the version with 2 DVI ports).

I've done some research on upgrading up to something beefier, though. The ATI 6990 cards will give you the most VRAM you can get on a ...

Hello and thanks!

Finally caved and actually registered, so hello to you all! I've actually been lurking for the past 3 years or so, back before Surround and Eyefinity entered mainstream. If it wasn't for WSGF back then, I don't think I ever would have been able to get my original setup on the Matrox TH2G working ...
