Thanks, that's a pretty glowing recommendation. I'm downloading the patch right now, I think I may at least install and give it another run with the patch.
I hated Oblivion, never finished it, never will. Quite enjoyed Risen, and yes I love traditional RPGs.

Re: New PC Gaming Company
Thanks again all. The dream is still that, a dream, but it's getting a thorough consideration. Many, many factors to mull over and we're all at different stages in our careers.
I'll definitely let everyone know if we decide to launch this venture though.
Cheers,
Chris

Gothic 3 - dig it up?
I'm in between games right now, just finished a few, waiting for some new releases...and I dug up a copy of Gothic 3, which I had purchased but never really played. I installed it and tried it out briefly but it had some bugs. I ended up playing Risen instead.
So the question is...there's a ...

Gecko, this sounds awesome.
One thing I would like to solicit though is about language (keep it on the down low, please).
Other than that I would gladly support your endeavorer. Entrepreneurs FTW!

That's exactly what I am hoping for.
Now all you need to do is deliver.
Lol, absolutely. If I/we do this, it will be done properly and not half-arsed.

"Would you be interested in a PC-style RPG game in the vein of older titles like the Baldur's Gate series?" I think everyone already knows the answer to that.
That's exactly what I am hoping for.

Re: New PC Gaming Company
That is the crux of it. A small, but dedicated, core customer base. Keeping overhead and production costs low to offset the lower income.
We believe you don't need a massive studio or Patrick Stewart voice-overs to make a great game. Why do people still play a game as dated as Deus Ex? I ...

Although, I'm not 30+ (I'm 21), I think this sounds like a really great idea. I am also sick of console ports think better games should be available. Theres not a whole lot I could contribute other than a few bucks here and there, but I do think it would be awesome.

New PC Gaming Company
Hi all,
As some of you may have seen from my earlier posts, I've toyed with the idea of starting a gaming company. I have taken the idea further and am considering it seriously now. I've got some partners involved and we're testing the waters.

Yep, I also killed Alistair. Ditto that Conjurer fooker. A few other fights later in the game were a lot harder than the Archdemon was.

Re: IPS Vs TN Screen
Another point is that, on larger screens (23"+), the limited viewing angles of TN panels become VERY apparent. I briefly had a Samsung 24" before I bought my Dell and I couldn't look at it. It was brutal. Unless you stared at the dead centre all the time, the color shifts and contrast were horrible ...

Nice screen!
How is the anti-glare coating? Aggressive/noticeable?
I am happy with my U2410 overall, other than the anti-glare, which I find quite aggressive. I'm wondering how the ZR24w stacks up in this regard?

That looks awesome. Might be time to re-play.
