Time for new video card yet?
You never said what resolution you intend to use. If your not gaming at 1920 or above resolutions i dont think you need to jump yet. It seems more and more PC games are 360 ports with no graphical advantage to the PC. I say wait...

ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2 is out today
I have the 4870x2 with vista 64 bit. I knew all the hastles of crappy driver support for single card dual gpu configurations but got one anyway as i wanted to build the fastest sff i could. TBH i wish i had just got a 280 and been happy with that. I just cant get games to run well on the card, and i ...

9800Gx2, GTX 280, or GTX 260?
that is a good price, unfortunately in Australia it is not so good. I think the cheapest ATI 4870 is about 325 Aus and the nVidia 280 600 Aus. Too big a gap. Do buyit offer international shipping?

9800Gx2, GTX 280, or GTX 260?
I am an nVidia fanboy usually but now i am builidng a new mid spec build i think i will go for the 4870 on a price/performance reason. I will also wait a few weeks though and see what the war does to cost. Can't see ATI cutting alot, but nVidia may well have to.

Any1 play GTR2 @ 1920x1080(or 1200v) with a 8800-series gpu?
GTR2 is a very undemanding game so you could easily force vsynch on and still have no issues. assuming you meant 8000 gts or 8800 gtx. the very low model would struggle a bit more.

Not over impressed personally. It has not hooked me any more than HL2. So buggy, like having to wait for people to move out of doorways cos they are unmoveable, terrible ai which was supposedly its selling point. Graphically its okay, no idea why it never gets wet when it rains? Shadows not right ...
