Half-Life (Steam version) not updated

All of the half-life games and mods allow the selection of widescreen resolutions, but they are all vert- unless you change the FOV. I've listed to the best of my knowledge which games support FOV changing below.
@august, although changing some settings like resolution does affect other half-life ...

"Hero Online" Guild

I was thinking of starting a guild for "hero online" with users from this forum. I don't expect to get many takers though, considering that there is already a couple guilds going on for other games. However, this might get the attention of some other ppl who are too cheap to buy a game, because ...

Video of my TH GRAW desktop

That's amazing, I really love how it makes your desktop look simple and uncluttered yet functional.

Is there a way that I can do something like that on my desktop without having to purchase any software?

All I need is to have different regions of the desktop that I can click on to start ...

Request for Counter-Strike 1.6

ya, the graphics were on low, not in game though. I turned all the settings in my graphics card to focus on performance instead of quality for another game. Not sure but I from what I've seen it doesn't really make that much of a difference in FPS.

Some games have ways to modify the HUD's and ...

tactical map

Also, I've noticed that when using the tactical overhead map (while running in widescreen) the circles representing the player locations sometimes get WAY off course. Here is a screenshot:

I changed to 4:3 and there were no problems.

That works for me, just name the day.
I get about 180Kb/s, and it says it takes about 11-12min. I'm located in Texas, Mountain Time zone, so that means for me it should be 11am.

custom resolution

When I make the custom resolution of '800x500' I restart my computer, then the resolution is available, when I switch to it, it goes to panning mode. To figure out why it does this, I right clicked the tray icon

display profiles -> configure -> advanced timing options

in the horizontal ...

Would be nice if there was a section that had downloadable widescreen wallpapers and screensavers.

[EDIT] I just saw the banner at the top of this page:

and something like that would be an awesome wallpaper.

I have a game that gives the option to select only those resolutions allowed by your desktop. I would like to play it in widescreen, but the lowest 16:10 resolution available is '1280x800'.

I only bring this up because I read somewhere about a game that did the same thing, and they posted a way ...

Forum too wide!

I've noticed that when I click on some posts the screen is wider, and others it fits perfectly. For example, this when I come to this post it fits my screen and I don't have to scroll left or right at all, but there is a post on this section of the forum titled "image gallery ?" when I go to that ...
