I also want an update for this... badly.
As mentioned, the letterboxing makes it even harder to deal with.

Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic The Sith Lords
UndaC, I believe your monitor native mode is 1280x720. You can/should test res output of the OS to your monitor first. For example, change/test your OS desktop to 1280x600. Now, if you want to edit swkotor2.ini fullscreen=1 and 1280x600 you will have only 1280x600 of the game on your monitor ...

ahh got it working now: only one problem:
whenever I use 1280x600 I don't see the options in conversations
so I can't see what I'm saying to people
looks/works great other than that though, but still not at all playable because of this minor irritation
any ideas on how to solve this?

1280x600 and 1280x480 also work, awesome super WS and fov more lifelike, can also improve performance. For reference, OAR of most movies are 2.35. Now all WS systems can run w/ one of these 1280x modes, even 1280x720. Have fun y'all.

Hmm never tried 1280x768 on my TV before, sadly it turns out that the TV (Sagem Axium 50") "thinks" it's a 4:3 resolution so I still get the black borders (in Windows as well as in the game).
1920x1080 (a resolution I know my TV supports properly) doesn't work either so I'm still out of luck ...

Re: Apparent Widescreen Success with Sith Lords
I edited the ini file for 1280x720 and it works! I kid you not! I am playing on a Samsung 50 inch DLP via a DVI to HDMI Monster cable. I am using a NVidia 6800 Ultra vid card with driver 71.80. In the game options, it will still say that I am only at 640x480. Hiowever, when playing the game, I ...

ZSNES widescreen solution?
Does anyone know how to force ZSNES (Super Nintendo emulator) into widescreen mode?
According to the author it can be done by modifying the source files (which are available freely) but I do not know any programming at all.
Any ideas would be appriciated (and I know other emulators support ...
