Blizzard Confirms No Eyefinity/Surround for Diablo III

One of our forum members linked to a forum topic over at Battle.net. In it Blizzard confirmed that Diablo wouldn't support multi-monitor such as Eyefinity or Surround. The specific response is quoted below:

Quote:
It's a single-monitor only game, and that's because the game literally only pulls info from the servers for a specific distance away from the character for bandwidth reasons. The game is also built with those limitations in-mind: edges of maps don't extend way out.

Also, being able to see way out to the left or right of your character really wouldn't help that much. Triple monitor is cool for first/third person where you're getting a larger peripheral view, but in a fixed isometric camera it doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Stereoscopic 3D Gaming FAQ

Overview
Humans have two eyes which are capturing light from slightly different positions and therefore produce slightly different images. The difference in observed images is unconsciously processed by the human brain and results in sensation of depth, or 3D sensation.
Stereoscopic 3D refers to a technique for creating or enhancing the illusion of depth in an image by presenting two offset images separately to the left and right eye of the viewer. Both of these 2D offset images are then combined in the brain to give the perception of 3D depth.

Sony says PSN hack was "great experience"...

Sony exec Tim Schaaff proves once again that big corporations live in some bizarre otherworld where reality intrudes but rarely. GamesBeat reports that he said it was a "Great experience, really good time. Though I wouldn't like to do it again."

Was he joking? Or could he actually be serious? The hacking of PSN was probably the worst and most public intrusion of a major developer or publisher in recent history, although it was quickly followed by the hacking of Codemasters, Sega, Nintendo and SquareEnix, among others.
