Thief II: The Metal Age

Thief™ II: The Metal Age gives you a chance to revisit the dark streets of the City, now changed by the Order of Mechanists, a new cult which has embraced many of the followers of the fallen religion of the Hammerites. In a world of steam robots and cameras Garrett will have to face a new opponent - Sheriff Gorman Truart, a lawman determined to rid the City of all criminals, starting with master-thief Garrett.

Equipped with a new set of tools, including flash mines and scouting orbs, Garrett has to keep himself alive and unveil the secret behind Truart's actions. Starts out looking as a simple case of corruption will eventually become much more, and Garrett again finds himself a reluctant savior--but that doesn’t mean he’s not going to rob the City blind while he saves it!

Solutions & Issues
Widescreen Solution & Issues:

The GOG.com version is pre-patched with NewDark for native widescreen and multi-monitor support; for all other versions install the latest beta of Tafferpatcher to get the NewDark engine upgrade.

With NewDark all widescreen and multi-monitor resolutions are listed in-game. Menus and FMV cutscenes are letterboxed 4:3. Everything has the correct aspect ratio. The HUD's health bar spacing varies but the individual health units retain the correct proportions.

Some special/custom resolutions may be only listed in-game if the resolution is also being used as the desktop resolution (resolutions can also be set in cam.cfg to get around this).

Ultra/Super-Wide Specific Solution & Issues:

Same as widescreen.

Eyefinity / Surround Specific Solution & Issues:

Same as widescreen. Mouse movement in menus is much slower horizontally than vertically (gameplay is not affected).
