Shadowgrounds Survivor is a sequel to the 2006 top-down shooter Shadowgrounds. Some time has passed after gruesome alien attack on human colony on Ganymede and only three man has survived.
SS is still a shoot'em up game in traditions of Alien Breed and more recent Crimsonland. You will control three different characters, each has their own set of available weapons(three of them) and skills. On couple of levels you also can mount in a turret and mech suit.
Player now has access to more weapon and character upgrades, like automatic healing and several special attacks. Upgrade parts are still being collected from severed enemies and supply boxes, scattered around the level.
One of the most important additions to Shadowgrounds is the AGEIA physics engine, which making sequel levels much more interactive with hundreds things you can crush. However this enhancement has a price - to play on "high" physics settings developers suggesting Dual Core CPU and AGEIA PhysX card.
