Runespell: Overture is a card-playing game with impressive graphics and fantastic music. The card game is called Mythic Poker, and using the same card layout as Solitaire and the same hands as poker. Different poker hands are worth different values. Once a hand has been assembled, the player can use it to attack the opponent, with the poker score coming off the opponent as damage.

While the game is not pillarboxed with black bars, it simply has some stylised panels to fill in the extra space on the edges. There is no extra game scene visible in widescreen in any way, on any menu or level select screen, nor in game. However, playing in widescreen does not appear as bad a black bar pillarboxing, but could not be considered full Hor+, hence the drop to a B score.
