Solutions & Issues
16:9 and 16:10 resolutions are supported in the fullscreen and borderless modes.
In the borderless mode, the game fully fills the screen without stretching at any unsupported resolution, such as 1280x768 (15:9).
Alternatively, it is possible to set the desired resolution for exclusive fullscreen in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Indiana\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\GameUserSettings.ini by changing the ResolutionSizeX and ResolutionSizeY values. If going after exclusive fullscreen, ensure that FullscreenMode is set to 0.
The letterboxing of the cutscenes and dialogue at 16:10 and narrower can be removed with Rose's solution.
The gameplay view is natively vert-, along with the weapon and arms model. The cutscenes and dialogue screens are pillarboxed.
There is an in-game FOV slider of up to 120 horizontal, making the 21:9 maximum vertically equivalent to 105 of 16:9. Despite the arms model cropping, this may be playable.
At 32:9, the maximum of 120 FOV is equivalent to less than 90 of 16:9, while the arms are severely cropped, making the game harder to play at this aspect ratio - as documented under Additional Screenshots below.
The FOV can be set to any value missing from the game by opening %LOCALAPPDATA%\Indiana\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\GameUserSettings.ini via the address bar of File Explorer and modifying the value of CustomFieldOfView=
The config change does not address the model cropping and the pillarboxing, which can be fixed with Rose's solution that also corrects the field of view.
Affected by the same issues as in ultrawide and addressed by the same solution.
The HUD is spanned but can be hidden completely via the dedicated in-game option. The player is warned of taking damage and nearing death via fullscreen vignetting, which helps even without having the HUD in the view.
Some tips, quests retrieval notes and XP gains appear on the right monitor. Quests can otherwise be tracked via a dedicated menu.
The settings menu screens are spanned across all monitors, while the game-related Character, Inventory and other useful menu screens are mostly centered with little information outside the middle screen. See the Additional Screenshots below.
The mouse cursor may appear small, however, it is visible enough to navigate the menu screens.
The FMVs are in 3840x2160. The game also includes a dynamic resolution option.
