Much like [the new] Hot Pursuit, [the new] Most Wanted combines Criterion's Easydrive with EA's Autolog in an open environment. That means teleportation and friend-list high scores, for a truly free-form arcade driving experience.
As purely a racing game, it kinda blows - extreme rubberbanding is the name of the game, the typical track is 2 minutes of destruction derby on the freeway, and the very underwhelming slo-mo crashes are only slightly more avoidable than the checkpoints. As an open-world car game however, it's Burnout's Paradise City all over again. And if the eerie, trippy race intros are any indication, to do drugs and drive is... pretty awesome.
