Sid Meier's Civilization VI or Civilization VI is a turn-based 4X video game and the sixth main title in the Civilization series. As with other games in the series, the goal for the player is to lead their fledgling civilization from an early settlement through many millennium to become a world power and achieve one of several victory conditions—such as through military power, technology superiority, or diplomatic leadership—over the other human and computer controlled opponents. Players do this by exploring the world, founding new cities, building city improvements, deploying military troops to attack and defend from others, researching new technologies and cultural civics, and engage in trade and negotiations with other world leaders. Solutions & Issues
There is a weird issue with some of the 2D loading screens and the FMV before the Tutorial. In anything other than 1920x1080 these elements don't fill the screen. For the loading screen, the 2D image doesn't scale and is windowboxed. The Tutorial FMV is stuck in the upper-left hand corner, with white borders on the bottom and/or right. Weird, but not enough of an issue to lower the grading.
Thought Hor+ through 21:9, the game is Vert- in Eyefinity/Surround. HUD is also spanned, which makes a massive impact on the gameplay.
For resolutions 3800x1800 and above, the game offers a UI scaling feature. In 4k UHD, turning on this features doubles the size of the HUD, making it appear the same size as the 1080p HUD. Doing this also fixes the odd scaling issues noted in the widescreen issues.
If you want to play with a tiny HUD to maximize your view - you can. If you want to see the HUD better - you can scale it. Nice to have the option.
