Blocks That Matter

Blocks That Matter (also known as BTM) is a two-dimensional indie puzzle platformer developed by Swing Swing Submarine. The player takes the role of “tetrabot”, a robot which is able to collect blocks by jumping into them or drilling them, and can then construct shapes in a “puzzle mode” using four blocks at a time. BTM heavily references the games Minecraft and Tetris through the main characters, in-game mechanics and concepts such as “Pajitnovian physics”.

Atom Zombie Smasher

Atom Zombie Smasher is a real-time strategy game developed by independent developer Blendo Games. In this game, the player attempts to rescue as many citizens as possible from an oncoming zombie horde using helicopter rescue units. As the player progresses, various weapon teams are unlocked that can be deployed to slow the zombie forces while the citizens are rescued.

This game is surprisingly fun and addictive.

A Valley Without Wind

The Creators Of AI War Bring You...

A 2D sidescroller without a linear path. An action game with tactical combat and citybuilding. An adventure game that lets you free-roam a vast, procedurally-generated world. A Valley Without Wind defies genre stereotypes. Unlike other procedurally-generated games, you also get a logical progression in difficulty, plus helpful tips and checklists to guide your travels (should you need them).

Splice

This indie game allows you to play God by moving cells with other cells and stuff happens, somehow. You have to move the cells or capsules to match the pattern shown. I'm not really sure what happens or what the purpose is, but at least you can do it in multimon.

Borderlands 2

Borderlands 2 is a science fiction–based first-person shooter with RPG elements and the sequel to 2009's Borderlands. At the start of the game, players select one of four new characters, each with a unique special skill and with proficiencies with certain weapons. From then on, players take on quests assigned through non-player characters or from bounty boards, each typically rewarding the player with experience points, money, and sometimes a reward item.

E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy

E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy is an indie action/role-playing first-person shooter video game created by the 12-person French development team Streum On Studio, and built using Valve Corporation's Source engine. It is a cyberpunk themed game based on the role-playing board game "A.V.A." developed by Streum On Studio in 1998.

Everything about this game is strange. Even the HUD in multimon is strange, all on the left hand screen. If you like strange, this is a good start.

Botanicula

Botanicula is a point-and-click adventure game developed by Amanita Design. I'm not even convinced it's a game. It's definitely point and click, and it might be an adventure, but game I am not convinced about. You click on random things until something happens, and then you ask 'was that actually what I wanted to happen?' before realizing that no, you still don't know what the point of all this even is.

On a bright note, wikipedia says that Botanicula is helping the World Land Trust to protect hundreds of acres of rainforest.

Sleeping Dogs

This GTA3-like lets you experience the life of an undercover cop in the brutal world of Honk Kong triads. Contains graphical violence, strong language and explicit kung-fu.

Lone Survivor

Lone Survivor is a 2012 independent survival horror video game, developed by Jasper Byrne under Superflat Games.
