It employs branching narrative storytelling, allowing the player to make choices that impact the plot. The plot is loosely based on Jules Verne's novel Around the World in Eighty Days. The year is 1872 and Monsieur Phileas Fogg has placed a wager at the Reform Club that he can circumnavigate the world in eighty days or less.

Planet Coaster is a construction and management simulation video game developed and published by Frontier Developments for Microsoft Windows. It was a sequel to the RollerCoaster Tycoon series, released worldwide on 17 November 2016.
