WSGF

WSGF.org has been remade from the ground up in its first major framework update since 2011. This came with bug fixes and new features, all while preserving the original users and content as old as 2006, at the same URLs. For the first time in years, we are opening the door to new contributors without pre-approval. However, we've been ad-free for a while, and we need your support to cover the costs of running the server.

Thanks to everyone who has been waiting patiently for stands to come back in stock. Double thanks to everyone who purchase while they were on backorder. We are basically caught up with shipments (outside of custom orders), and are back on a regular shipping schedule.

As has been our tradition for several years, I am giving out Steam gift cards to WSGF Insiders and Staff who have been actively contributing to the WSGF this past year. Some recipients have been contributing content to the WSGF (Detailed Reports, blog posts, or other articles), while others have been helping behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly via forum moderation and user management.

The WSGF is a community driven site, and we couldn't do all the great things we do without the help of our volunteer staff and great community. Thank you all for a great 2015, and here's to another great year in 2016.

For our thirdyear running, I am gifting Steam wallet codes to the folks who work hard to keep the WSGF running day in and day out. Whether its kicking the servers when they hiccup, adding games to the database, or approving posts from new users, these are the people that help me keep the WSGF running.

I started doing this two years ago, back in 2012. That year I gave out three $100 Steam wallet codes to admins Delphium, CrackerJackMack and AussieTimmeh. Last year I gave out a mix of $100 and $50 codes to fifteen different folks - admins, editors, developers and key contributors. All in all, I gave out $1000 of Steam codes that year.

This year we have a couple fewer cards to give away, but each one is a $100 card. In total I'm giving out $1200 to a dozen folks who have helped to ensure that 2014 was a great year for the WSGF.

We're updating the WSGF Stands, and we've prototyped a possible "Mega" stand for 3x monitors greater than 27". This would be 28" and 32" 4k UHD, as well as 29" and 34" 21:9 ultra-wide.
