Dirt 3 - Eyefinity/Surround/Multi-Monitor Feature Video

Here is my evaluation of Dirt 3 for multi-monitor support.

Surround feature videos talk about any flaws the game has in multi monitor mode, the level of support provided, any hacks needed to manually force support, and also talks about the benefits and joy of playing in surround.

WSGF Giving Away Monitor Stands @ AMD FX GamExperience

We've been able to leverage our partnerships with Ergotech and AMD to give away three monitor stands away at the 2012 AMD FX GamExperience. We will be giving away two Heavy Duty Triple Stands, on behalf of Ergotech. Additionally, we will be giving away a WSGF Edition Triple Stand.

I will be in the AMD booth displaying a couple of WSGF Edition Stands, in both 1+3 and 5x1 configurations. I'll be answering questions with Shane Partfitt (Eyefinity Product Manager) and we'll be presenting in the breakout room from 2:00 - 2:20.

Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter for your chance to win a stand.

WSGF Attending 2012 FX GamExperience w/ HardOCP & AMD

AMD & HardOCP will be hosting another event in Dallas, on January 21, 2012. The "FX GamExperience" will focus on the CPU side of AMD's house, but there will be Eyefinity activities and the WSGF will be attending in an official capacity. I will be part of the official AMD booth, hanging out with Shane Parfitt (Product Manager for Eyefinity). I will be dispensing Eyefinity advice and will take part in an Eyefinity panel discussion with Shane. So stop by and say hello. Also, I will be showcasing the new WSGF Edition monitor stand at the AMD booth, and AMD will be giving one away to one lucky attendee.

At the last event in July, I had a great time as an attendee. I was able to meet a number of WSGF members and had a great day hanging out and talking Eyefinity and gaming with folks. This event is shaping up to be much bigger. The venue is 3x the size of the last one, and the sponsor's list has grown to include: Antec, ASRock, Asus, Corsair, Diamond, Ergotech Group, Gigabyte, Maingear, MSI, Patriot Memory, and Sapphire. The volume of give-aways will simply be staggering (I was amazed last time), and I would expect the attendance record of ~450 from the last event to simply be crushed.

So, now I've just got to start practicing in Dirt 3 on the G27 Logitech wheel I got for Christmas, so I don't embarass myself...
