SpellForce: The Order of Dawn is a combination real-time strategy and role-playing video game game developed by German game developers Phenomic. SpellForce focuses on the RPG elements of controlling an avatar, and on many levels the RTS elements of leading an army as well. The player begins by creating a hero, called an avatar, and then selecting which character properties they want their avatar to begin with. Wargame EE is a combat-centric RTS set during a fictitious twist of the Cold War era.

The only resources to keep an eye on are your units' fuel and ammo reserve. Taking control of strategic zones awards you deployment points that can be spent to deploy more troops from your deck of available units.

Oil Rush

Oil rush is a fast-paced RTS set in a flooded world where oil is the only resource and micro-management is kept to a minimum. Units are produced automatically up to their population limit and the player commands them as groups, sending swarms from platform to platform rather than to attack other units directly. Defenses can also be built in the form of towers on slots around certain platforms, but the priceless oil rigs must be defended by units only. Experience points can be spent as tech upgrades ranging from faster construction to nuclear warhead launches.

The Lord of the Rings: War of the Ring

The Lord of the Rings: War of the Ring is a 2003 real-time strategy game developed by Liquid Entertainment. It plays much like Warcraft III with added features, some previously used in Battle Realms. A similar layout and control system is used, and the player gets to control hero units with special abilities. Most regular units also have abilities of their own. The game also follows certain RTS conventions such as having rally points and controlling unit creation and purchase of upgrades at designated buildings.

Gamers must route various types of aircraft to land on different parts of the airports without the planes crashing into each other. The quantity and frequency of aircraft increases as time goes on, making the challenge more difficult.
