Racing (Sim-Style)

Racing games involve a competition of speed, where the task is typically to travel a certain distance in the shortest amount of time. They usually involve motor vehicles such as automobiles and motorcycles. Racing games that attempt to realistically portray a real-world racing event are a common type of simulation, though not all racing games attempt to do this. In a simulation racing game, the goal is to re-create real-world environments, tracks and physics.

World Racing 2

World Racing 2 is a racing game from Synetic and TDK. It improves over the original racing with a far greater selection of cars and manufacturers to choose from (the original only featured Mercedes-Benz), an upgraded graphics and physics engine, and new gameplay modes, including a "career" mode where you participate in races across the world and accomplish objectives to earn cash which can be spent on new cars and upgrades.

GTR - FIA GT Racing Game

GTR is a "hardcore racing sim" based on the FIA GT racing series. The game does also cater to "average" gamers with arcade and semi-pro modes, but these are not the focus of the game.

MotoGP 2

MotoGP 2 is a motorcycle racing sim from The Climax Group and THQ. It features licensed bikes, tracks, riders, and realistic bike physics and weather conditions. A stunt (arcade-style) mode is available as well.

NASCAR Racing 2003 Season

NASCAR Racing 2003 Season is a racing sim from Papyrus and Sierra (and should not be confused with the much inferior but similar sounding NASCAR Thunder 2003), and the final NASCAR sim from Papyrus (EA Sports now owns the rights). It includes all of the 2003 tracks, many of the drivers, and an engine realistic enough that actual NASCAR drivers have been known to use this for practice.

Live for Speed

LFS S2 is a serious racing simulator. No arcade modes, no steering aids - YOU have to do the driving. You can race alone or against the AI, but the real fun is to be found online, in multiplayer mode.
Widescreen and triplehead support has been in LFS for a quite a long time now. The coder of the game has a triplehead setup himself so support should and is flawless.

Hard Truck Apocalypse

Hard Truck: Apocalypse (Ex Machina) is a Car combat video game developed by Russian game developer Targem Games. It is a Privateer-like game on vehicles instead of spaceships set in a post-apocalyptic Europe. The player controls an armored heavy truck, and moves from one settlement. Motocross Madness 2

Second in the Motocross Maddness series from Microsoft. Decent little title in its day.
