Little Iñupiaq girl meets magic arctic fox in a land of ice, wind and folklore. Together they will triumph over the deranged Manslayer and unlock documentary videos. Never Alone can be played with a pal but it's more of a "solo co-op" experience with spoken narration and lite gameplay. Don't let it fool you: behind the innocent bedtime story, simple platforming and cute graphics, there's a game eager to kill you. Repeatedly.
I emailed the devs about 21:9 when I bought it on release day & advised them to create a custom 21:9 res as they have no 21:9 monitor so I suggested 1280x540 to them as some of the rendered custscenes & even ingame engine cutscenes are in 21:9 but it seems to be a low priority to them even though the game engine Unity 4 does support 21:9 natively they insist on the forced 16:9 display! But also tell me on the Steam forums it is something they will look at.......
Another Steam Update and the Fix does not work anymore - the Attachment does Work on the second Chapter but not on the first one.
Here is how you can make a new Fix via Cheat Engine: Run the Game in 3440x1440 and scan it with the Float Value 2.388888836 now select the right one and change it to 1.777777791 and make a PointerScan for a fixed Value.
I figured out the every Chapter uses a different Pointer.

Thanks. Will give it a go.

The Cheat Engine solutions seem to no longer work. I removed the pillarboxing and the letterboxing, adjusted the FOV. I looked at the result but didn't thoroughly test it. The downside so far is that the in-game "cultural insights" aka the videos on the culture the game is based on will be zoomed in. You can switch to a 16:9 resolution in the menu to watch them at the native resolution at any time. Here's the modified .dll to paste in NeverAlone\Never_Alone_Data\Managed\
