I Finally found the FOV hack from Racer_s on this site:
Link
Because Racer_S's own site is down...

But when I try to start the FOV Hack it tells me it misses MSSTDFMT.DLL (even when I placed that DLL right next to the exe... ).
Can someone help me with this problem?

Hey Ashketchum22NL, thanks

Hey Ashketchum22NL, thanks for the heads-up on the missing file. A lot of links to the old site were broken during the move to the Drupal server, and a lot of changes are currently being made to the Detailed Report form so fixing this will take some time. Meanwhile most of Racer_S fixes can indeed be found on GCW...

Try downloading the latest Visual C++ package (vcredist) from Microsoft to fix the missing dll error.

Tried that by downloading

I had the same error when I first tried the fix and it was definitely because I needed a package of that sort; I'm no expert but it's something the fix was built with like Visual C++ 2010, 2008 or 2005 or maybe .NET Framework...
Sorry I can't be more specific.

Tried them all three, but the

For MSSTDFMT.DLL errors

1) download MSSTDFMT.DLL
2) copy msstdfmt.dll to c:\windows\system32 if running on 32 bit OS or to c:\windows\syswow64 if running on a 64 bit OS
3) open a command prompt (cmd.exe) with administrator privileges
4) in the prompt type on 32 bit OS

Code: Select all

regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\msstdfmt.dll
or on 64 bit OS

Code: Select all

regsvr32 c:\windows\syswow64\msstdfmt.dll

5) now Racer_S Hacks (nfsu2FOV.exe) should start successfully
