This game is a standalone expansion for the Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War RTS series. Players can control one of seven different factions as they seek to destroy each other on the planet Kronus. The expansion adds two new factions to the series with the Tau Empire and the Necrons. It's an RTS, what more can I say?

I could not find any rendered cut-scenes. It is possible that there are some in the game. It plays like the old Dune RTS where you can choose your maps so scripted events would be harder to program for. And I kind of stink at this game.

Cranky, when looking at the army-painter screen what is happening to the character in 16:9?

For those who would like to have a wider view, you can use the Camera Zoom mod. http://dawnofwar.filefront.com/file/Camera_Zoom;34682

It works with DoW, DoW:WA, DoW:DC, DoW:Soulstorm

It gives you a feel closer to "HOR+" I guess.

Does the map-select screen scroll? Also, how often do you use it?

Grade: C+, 98.5%

It looks to me like the character's proportions are correct in all aspect ratios. It's just the 2D artwork to the sides and behind him that get stretched.

It gives you a feel closer to "HOR+" I guess.

From reading the description, it sounds like it doesn't actually zoom out - it just lets you pull the camera back further. This is different from zooming out, and it isn't really hor +, though some people might consider it an acceptable substitute. Here's something to read:

No. But it zooms in to the area when you are planning to attack.

It is used between battles. So, often.
