Aquanox 2: 4:3 and 16:10

Do the submarines move faster this time? I think Aquanox is a pretty game, and fun too, but the slowness always drove me nuts.

I haven't actually played the game to the point where I actually moved a sub. I just installed the demo, took two screenshots from the starting point, quit, and uninstalled.

Updated this report with new screenshots and store links.

It's really a shame that it's all stretched. I quite liked the game when I last played it, maybe I should give it another try...

OK, so here we go. Here's a simple program I've made to edit the dat file should work fine for Steam version, not sure about GOG:
https://github.com/SuiMachine/Aquanox-2 ... es/tag/1.0

And here's a CheatEngine table with a script to multiply the FOV. Hopefully won't cause any crashes and doesn't have any bugs:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/SuiMa ... FOV/AN2.CT

On a sidenote, yeah, sadly they haven't modeled entire cockpit, so I guess you'll have to deal with "floating pipe" pretending to be a cockpit. Plus the cockpit is scaled really weird. Maybe someone with a better understanding of assembly and video games can fix it.

Oh almost forgot - make sure to attach CheatEngine to AN2.dat, not AquaNox 2 Revelation.exe, cause AN2.dat is actual game process.

This fix works with the GOG.com version. I have updated the detailed report to cover the new method. Wider aspect ratios (particularly multi-monitor) will need much higher FOV values for the Cheat Engine script.

The current patch on the game page has a bug with the sniper mode. After using the sniper mode the camera doesn't zoom back as much as it should.
