Hi All,

I have a quick question regarding the 5870 eyefinity edition.

I'm running 3 of these in Xfire. (2 Powercolour and 1 Diamond, all 3 with stock cooling.)

I'm considering doing a moderate overclock on them. I hear just maxing the 2 faders (900/1300)
out is fine since the CCC overdrive is not giving you "enough rope to hang yourself".
so it's reasonably safe to do so but I'd like your input.

I also hear that the "auto-tune" is not particularly good.

I have little experience with GPU overclocking and have no intention of getting into a complicated process.

Thanks

If you have enough ventalation in the case then you may be able to do it no problem.
Ultimately just keep an eye on the temps and only increase by small amounts, ie a few Hz at a time ~10hz usually recommended.

You may also wish to check out an overclocking article such as this one which should give you some guidence and understanding.
